Meet the Bayou Besties
The Bayou Besties are the friends who make Ollie's Bayou home. Led by Ollie the Otter, they learn, play, and sing together every day. Meet the whole crew below.
Ollie the Otter
Ollie the Otter is the star of Ollie's Bayou, an overly optimistic little river otter with warm brown fur, a cream belly, and his signature green leaf neckerchief. He loves to swim and play in the bayou, loves going to school, and never explores without his trusty magnifying glass for finding things. Ollie leads the Bayou Besties and invites every child to look closer, learn, and see the bright side of every day.
Addie the Alligator
Addie the Alligator is the biggest friend in the bayou with the gentlest heart of all. She is warm, patient, and kind, and she always makes sure that nobody ever feels left out. Whenever a friend is feeling sad or unsure, Addie is the very first to offer a big smile and a helping hand. She helps the Bayou Besties learn all about kindness, sharing, and being a good friend to everyone.
Sorrel Squirrel
Sorrel Squirrel is a quick, clever, and cheerful friend with warm reddish-orange fur and a big fluffy tail. He is always darting around the bayou, climbing trees and gathering acorns to save for later. Full of energy and giggles, Sorrel loves a good game and a good laugh. He helps Ollie hunt for clues with the magnifying glass and shows children just how much fun it is to stay curious.
Rollie Raccoon
Rollie Raccoon is a curious little tinkerer who loves to figure out exactly how everything works. With his clever paws and his classic bandit mask, he is always sorting, counting, and taking things apart to see what is inside. Rollie is silly and playful and sometimes a little bit mischievous, but he is always kind. He helps little learners discover the fun of numbers, patterns, and solving puzzles together.
Holly Heron
Holly Heron is the tallest and calmest of all the Bayou Besties, standing gracefully among the reeds with her lovely teal and green feathers. Thoughtful and watchful, she is the friend who reminds everyone to slow down, take a deep breath, and look closely at the world around them. Holly brings a gentle, wise presence to the bayou and helps children learn patience and the joy of noticing little things.
Tucker Turtle
Tucker Turtle is careful, steady, and wonderfully patient, and he is always happy to take his time. Riding along on his floating log with his handsome patterned shell, he never rushes and never worries. Tucker shows the Bayou Besties that going at your own pace is perfectly fine, and that trying something new takes a little courage. He gently teaches little learners about patience, persistence, and believing in themselves.
Ms. Gracie
Ms. Gracie is the kind and patient flamingo teacher of Ollie's Bayou. Graceful and warm, she leads the little bayou school where Ollie and all of the Bayou Besties gather together to learn. With a gentle voice and an encouraging smile, she guides the friends through their ABCs, letter sounds, sight words, and counting. Ms. Gracie makes every single lesson feel joyful, safe, and full of happy discovery.
